Odisha: CM Naveen Launches Over 1500 Projects In Angul Worth Rs 1,805 Crore

Angul: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today unveiled around 1500 projects in Angul district under different welfare programmes.
Patnaik received a warm welcome from ladies affiliated with various Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the area while attending a public assembly at Angul Stadium.
During his one-day visit to Angul district today, the CM inaugurated and lay foundation stones for a total of 1541 projects worth Rs 1,805 crore.
“Angul district is leading in the sector of industries,” he remarked on the occasion, adding that Rs 800 crore will be spent. The state cabinet has approved a Rs 350 crore plan to provide drinking water to 48 Gram Panchayats in the area. The government would build two massive drinking water projects in Angul and Banarpal Blocks at a cost of Rs 358 crore, benefiting a total of 2,36,000 people (1.66 lakh in Angul and 70,000 in Banarpal) in the district. Both drinking water projects will be finished in two years.”
Furthermore, the state government is proposing lending Rs 50,000 crore to women under Mission Shakti over the next five years.
Deputy Speaker Rajani Kant Singh and Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahoo also spoke at the ceremony.
