Bhubaneswar: With the onset of Southwest Monsoon over Odisha, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heavy rainfall warning for many districts of the state till June 26.
The Met office further said that the day temperature is very likely to fall by 3 to degree Celsius at many places in Odisha during next 2 days with no large change thereafter.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at one or two places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda on Thursday. Heavy rainfall at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.
Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati during this period.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Puri, Ganjam, and Kandhamal. Heavy rainfall may also occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Balangir, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal. Heavy rainfall also likely at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Balangir, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at one or two places in Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kalahandi and Balangir. Heavy rainfall may also occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh and Kandhamal.
JUNE 26
Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Koraput, Kalahandi, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Keonjhar. Notably, Bhubaneswar recorded 59.8mm rainfall by 11.30 am and 90.4 mm rainfall by 2.30 pm.
