Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Thursday inaugurtaed a State-level workshop on “Enhancing Irrigation Uses for Rabi Crop Planning under Mahanadi Delta Stage-I & Stage-II” at Krushi Bhavan here.
The Chief Secretary highlighted the significance of innovative irrigation techniques in mitigating the challenges posed by climate variability and water scarcity. He stressed the importance of adopting modern technology and best practices to maximize water utilization.
Development Commissioner-cum-ACS Anu Garg also spoke on the occasion. Principal Secretary of Agriculture department Arvind Padhee, Director (A&FP) Prem Chandra Chaudhary, Engineer-in-Chief of Department of Water Resources, state and field-level officials from DA&FE were present.
