Dense Fog to engulf most of Odisha for 3 more days; Yellow warning by IMD

Bhubaneswar: Even as temperature across Odisha has been gradually rising in the last few days, dense fog has disrupted normal life in many parts of the state.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather condition will remain the same for the next three days. It sounded yellow warning about dense fog for several districts of the state for the next three days.

Weather forecast for Odisha for next 3 days:

Day 1 (Valid up to 8.30 am of 30.12.2023)

Dry weather is likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 am of 30.12.2023 to 8.30 amof 31.12.2023)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh and at one or two places over the remaining districts of the state.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, and Deogarh.

Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 am of 31.12.2023 to 8.30 am of 01.01.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning (Be updated): Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Koraput.
