Odisha Train Tragedy: EVOS Buildcon donates Rs.10 lakh to CMRF

Bhubaneswar: Real estate firm EVOS Buildcon Pvt Ltd on Saturday donated Rs. 10 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid the relatives of Bahanaga train accident victims.

Managing Director of EVOS Buildcon Kalinga Keshari Rath handed over the cheque to Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena.

Soon, train stoppages to resume at Bahanaga

After completion of signalling work at Bahanaga Bazar station, trains will have stoppages at this station in Balasore district where the triple-train tragedy occurred on June 2, South Eastern Railway sources said on Friday.

Now trains are not stopping at this station since the resumption of train services on the mainline between Bhadrak and Kharagpur after the train crash that killed 293 people. This was done as part of the investigation into the accident.

Official sources said the railways will cancel 43 trains passing through Bahanaga Bazar station on Saturday and Sunday for signalling work.
