Naseer called out thespian Dilip Kumar for not contributing enough
A self-proclaimed big fan of Dilip Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah surprised everyone by saying that the thespian did not do enough for the cinema.
While expressing his views after the death of Dilip Kumar, the Tridev actor penned that while some of his works will undoubtedly survive the test of time, apart from acting he did not do anything for a social cause close to his heart or direct a movie or do anything to pass on his experience with the younger lot.
Faced severe backlash for calling Rajesh Khanna a mediocre
Rajesh Khanna was the first superstar of Bollywood and had a huge fan following. But Naseerji believes that it was the Avatar actor who brought mediocrity to Hindi movies and this led to a lot of backlash from the fans of Kaka.
While later on he did say that there are so many Rajesh Khanna fans who love him, he remained committed to his statement. In his statement, Naseeruddin Shah said that Mr. Khanna was a very limited actor, rather a poor actor.
Naseeruddin did not spare even Virat Kohli
The former Indian cricket team captain is known for his aggressive behaviour on the field and verbal spats with the opposition team are very common. Commenting on the same, the veteran actor once called Virat Kohli as the world’s worst-behaved player.
Slammed Indian Muslims for celebrating Taliban rule in Afghanistan
Last year in June, Naseeruddin Shah slammed Indian Muslims who celebrated the victory of the Taliban group in Afghanistan and asked them to support modernity and reform instead of supporting barbarian values.
He even expressed shock saying that Indian Muslims have always been different from the rest of the world and the time should never come when it changes so much that it become unrecognisable.
Heavily criticized Amitabh Bachchan
When it comes to speaking his heart out, the Spars actor never minces a word. He did not even spare Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and said that he does not consider Big B a great actor and that Sholay is not a good movie from any angle.
