Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will carry out an intensive awareness campaign about online registration for BSKY Nabin Card across the state from January 1 to 16.
In a letter to district collectors and district magistrates, Shalini Pandit, secretary, Health and Family Welfare department the BSKY Nabin Card has been launched to cover all left-out rural families (except regular government employees, government pensioners and income tax payers).
The eligible families can apply for the card in online mode. The registration portal at www.bskynabin.odisha.gov.in will remain open from January 6 to 16.
“In order to create better awareness in this regard, wide publicity needs to be undertaken to reach out to the general public and intended beneficiaries. An Information, Education and Communication (IEC) document giving information on the BSKY Nabin Card and details of how to register for it has been prepared in both English & Odia and issued to the district,” she said.
The secretary requested the officers to share the information in district social media handles and websites. Further, they were told to take up public awareness through field functionaries of departments of Mission Shakti, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Women and Child Development, School & Mass Education and Health and Family Welfare at district and sub-district level. Besides, public address system can be used in panchayat areas.
In order to undertake the IEC activities in a full-fledged manner, Rs 1 lakh has been sanctioned to each district. In case of need for more funds, CEO of SHAS can be contacted and it will be reimbursed from State Health Assurance Society.
