A Body of Rhapsody – www.publictrustofindia.com https://publictrustofindia.com Odisha English News Tue, 20 Sep 2022 11:06:22 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.9.4 Odisha Governor releases Koraput girl’s poetry book https://publictrustofindia.com/2022/09/20/odisha-governor-releases-koraput-girls-poetry-book/ Tue, 20 Sep 2022 11:00:28 +0000 https://publictrustofindia.com/?p=1448 Bhubaneswar: Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal released a book ‘A Body of Rhapsody’ written by Ruchika Dibyadarshini, an 18-year-old girl of Semiliguda in Koraput district, at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.

A collection of 205 poems, the book has elaborately captured the feelings and emotions of human being and made an in-depth inquiry into death and its relation to life. It also highlights natural phenomena and life in general.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor appreciated Ruchika’s contribution to English literature and said poem is the most powerful form of literary expression.

“Although humans are part of nature, human activity is often understood as a separate category from other natural phenomena. Since time immemorial, nature has inspired and uplifted human beings and many great poets have tried to pay their homage through words. From the heavenly sight of a land full of daffodils to the beauty of birds and bumblebees, I have tried to capture the beauty and joy of our nature in my poetry,” elated Ruchika said.

Her debut poetry book ‘The Epicentric Lyric’ comprising 200 poems published by Namya Press of New Delhi in 2021, has been creating waves in the literary world. Her art of storytelling through poems is absolutely phenomenal and empowering.
