According to sources, simultaneous searches are also underway at properties linked to Delhi-based Golden Land Developers Limited and houses of the its director, manager and other officials in Odisha.

In 2013, the Delhi-based firm was booked in six cases for cheating depositors to the tune of several crores. The Crime Branch had seized some assets of this chit fund company and Cuttack ADM auctioned landed property of the chit-fund company to the tune of 2 acres and 93 decimal in Chhatrapur and Chikiti tehsils of Ganjam district, respectively, in June 2016. Around 4.72 lakh applicants have applied to the state government for refund of their money.

Civic jobs scam: ED raids premises of TMC leaders including West Bengal Minister https://publictrustofindia.com/2024/01/12/civic-jobs-scam-ed-raids-premises-of-tmc-leaders-including-west-bengal-minister/ Fri, 12 Jan 2024 07:09:07 +0000 https://publictrustofindia.com/?p=8216 Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday morning conducted raids at the residences of West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Bose, TMC MLA Tapas Roy and former North Dumdum Municipality chairman Subodh Chakraborty in connection with its probe into the irregularities in recruitments in civic bodies, PTI reported.

Enforcement Directorate officers conducted raids at two residences of Bose in the Lake Town area in North 24 Parganas district early Friday morning. The were accompanied by central forces.

The central agency officers also raided Tapas Roy’s BB Ganguly Street residence and Chakraborty’s residence in Birati, he said.

“We are conducting search operations at the residences of three TMC leaders in connection with the recruitments in civic bodies. We are also talking to the leaders,” the officer told PTI.
