He is now making his acting debut with a satirical film that is based on his time in prison. In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Kundra revealed that he felt so down during the situation that he wanted to “end things inside”. He has also shared how Shilpa Shetty even came up with a suggestion that they should leave India and settle abroad.

“My wife was actually the first person to say, ‘Do you want to live abroad Raj? You left everything in London, you were born and brought up there, you moved here because I wanted to be here. But if you want, I can make things work and let’s leave the country, let’s go abroad.’ I told her that I love India and won’t leave. Log bade bade kaand kar ke, hazarao crore kamake desh se nikal jaata hai (people do big crimes, take thousands of crores and leave country), but I have done nothing so I won’t leave the country,” he told Indianexpress.com.

He also opened up about how pained he was during his time behind bars because of what he and his family were going through. He said, “I had really broken down, enough to probably end things inside. I won’t use the word, but I was in a… There was so much humiliation, and reputational damage. Because of me, the media went behind my wife, children, and parents. That was painful. I knew what was going on outside.”

Raj Kundra plays the lead character in the upcoming film UT69, set to release on November 3. Talking about the film directed by Shahnawaz Ali, Kundra told ANI, “People are fighting inside to sleep, to eat, so whatever it is, there is no remorse in it. These people will come and talk among themselves and when they come out of jail and there is no reform, they will just go inside crying, so if you have kept someone inside, you give a little facility to that type.”

In a video now going viral, Kangana was seen with a bow in her hand while people around her taught her how to shoot the arrow. Kangana made three attempts to shoot the arrow but failed all three times. Nevertheless, her spirits weren’t dampened. She chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ while one of the members of the Lav Kush Ramleela Committee helped her shoot the arrow.

A section of social media, especially on Reddit, trolled her for her failed attempt. “This gives me second hand embarassment,” a social media user wrote. “So much for being the stunt/action queen of bollywood ,” added another. “So painful to watch,” a comment read. “I can’t imagine the kind of anxiety, embarrassment Kanagana must be feeling at that time,” a fourth user wrote.

“This was too hard to watch,” a user added. “I can’t stop laughing the person who is speaking in the background, putla jalaya jaye. Asatya par satya ki jeet hui hai and this is so funny and embarassing, kangana should have taken YouTube classes,” a comment read.

Kangana was invited to perform the Ravan Dahan as a nod to the Women’s Reservation Bill which was passed last month, The Indian Express reported. Speaking about it, Arjun Singh, president of Lav Kush Ramleela Committee of Delhi, told PTI, “Be it a film star or a politician, every year we have a VIP grace our event. In the past, we have had former President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi do the honours. Among film stars, Ajay Devgn and John Abraham have been here. Last year, Prabhas did the Ravan Dahan. For the first time in 50 years of our event, it will be a woman who will do the Ravan Dahan.”

“Lav Kush Ramleela Committee also wants equal rights for women. Women participation is increasing in every walk of life today, but there is still a long way to go. The bill will help in the development of the country and society,” he was quoted as saying.

Kangana will be seen in cinemas this weekend with Tejas.

In the wee hours of Thursday, October 19, the Academy took to its social media handles and shared the name of the five actors who have joined as its members this year. Apart from Jr NTR, the other actors included in the list are Ke Huy Quan, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Kerry Condon, and Rosa Salazar.

An Instagram post captioned, “Introducing Academy’s new member class of actors” was shared by the Academy on its official Instagram handle. “In the capable hands of these dedicated and gifted performers, stories transcend the confines of imagination, taking on a tangible, visceral existence that captivates viewers around the world. Through their nuanced expressions, compelling gestures, and authentic portrayals, they bridge the gap between fiction and reality, allowing us to see ourselves in the struggles, joys, and triumphs of the characters they bring to life,” read the caption on the post.On the work front, Jr NTR will be seen in the action-packed entertainer Devara, also starrring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film is slated to release in cinemas on April 5 next year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.The Simhadri actor is all set to make his Bollywood debut in War 2, in which he will be seen along with Hrithik Roshan. The film is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War and is reportedly being directed by Ayan Mukerji of Brahmastra fame. The makers are planning to release the film on January 25, 2025.

But it is a proven fact that when things are not going right every mistake of yours is counted. Akshay Kumar is known to do multiple movies a year. More often he completes a film in a month and by the time another one is on the release, he has already moved on to his next one. Akshay has been criticised many times for this approach. While most of the big stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and even Ranbir Kapoor stick to doing only a couple of movies at a time, Akshay has been unstoppable with 5 to 6 releases hitting the theaters every year.

When asked why Shahid Kapoor does only a few movies a year the Kabir Singh actor said that he wants to do more movies but he is not the type of actor who can play a character just by shaving or changing his hairstyle. During his interview, the Farzi actor said, “I am trying to do as many movies as I can but mera kya hai na mein mooche chipkake acting nahi karta. Yahan pe mooche chipka li, wahan pe shave kar liya, do din ki dadhi ugake tisri picture kar li. Muzhe waise wali acting samaz mein hi nahi aati. I like to do one film at a time.”

Now as is known during the making of the movie Prithviraj Chavan, YRF wanted Akshay Kumar to grow a moustache so that he looks real as the last Hindu ruler of Hindustan. It was a historic character and in those days it was common for Rajas and Maharajas to have mustache and beard. But Akshay refused to grow a mustache.

When the movie flopped badly, YRF owner Aditya Chopra was enraged and openly blamed Akshay Kumar for the debacle. Usually, Aditya Chopra never speaks whenever his movie becomes a hit or is a flop. But this time he severely slammed Khiladi Kumar saying, “The film required a dedicated concentration. He wouldn’t even grow a real moustache, as he was doing other projects simultaneously. When playing someone so historically important, why couldn’t he have done just this one project, and given his best to it?”.

It was a big-budget film and YRF lost hugely. And that is why it seems now Shahid Kapoor is also indirectly targeting Akshay Kumar for his approach towards acting.

Quoting the Maharashtra Police, the news agency said that the actor had given a written complaint to the state government,  claiming that he had been receiving death threat calls after the release of his films Pathan and Jawan.

The Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID), in an official communication dated October 5, informed all the police commissionerates, district police and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to provide “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan with immediate effect”, Indian Express reported, citing sources.

In the Y+ category, Shah Rukh will get 11 security personnel, including six commandos, four police personnel and a traffic clearance vehicle and the security cover will be on a payment basis. The policemen would be stationed at Mannat, his Mumbai home, the report further added.

Notably, Paramhans Acharya, an Ayodhya-based seer, had allegedly issued death threats to the actor following a row over the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from his film Pathaan, which was released early this year. In August, security was stepped up outside his bungalow following protests against celebrities endorsing online gaming apps. In March this year, security forces apprehended two men who broke into Mannat premises by scaling the outer wall.

“I don’t want to fight. I have no idea about the rules. I didn’t get into the rulebook. If they thought it was an adult film, then… did you all feel it is an adult film? Whoever we have shown the film to, they loved it. I made it for youngsters and I’m happy it is coming on Netflix and I’m happy about it. That’s it. The important thing is that people should know about it,” Akshay said during a group interview as quoted by India Today.

The Mission Raniganj actor also recalled how he was discouraged during his 2017 movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. “When I made ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, everybody told me what kind of title this is. I was asked, ‘Are you mad? Do you want to make a film on shauchalaya? Who makes a film on a subject like toilet?’ I would like to tell you one thing, please don’t discourage me by thinking what business it (my film) is going to do. Give me courage, at least this kind of film is being made and we are showing it to our children. It is time to change society,” the actor said. Akshay further mentioned that the situation was no different during the release of his 2018 drama Pad Man.

OMG 2 was pushed for review by the Central Board Of Film Certification in July this year i.e. a month after Prabhas starrer Adipurush faced immense backlash from the audience. Reportedly, OMG 2’s review decision was taken to avoid the backlash that unfolded after Adipurush was released in June 2023. OMG 2 was then granted an ‘A – Adults Only’ certificate from the censor board in India and was passed with 27 changes and numerous modifications, News18 reported.

However, OMG 2 impressed the audience. Several, including Sadhguru expressed disappointment with CBFC for granting ‘A’ certificate to the movie.

‘The Vaccine War’ marks the return of director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri after the blockbuster hit film, ‘The Kashmir Files’. The Nana Patekar-starrer has minted Rs 3.25 crores at the box. However, the filmmaker took to Instagram to announce a ‘buy 1 get 1 ticket free’ offer for the film.

Taking to Instagram, Vivek wrote, “Friends, today on the occasion of Sunday and Gandhi Jayanti holiday, visit #TheVaccineWar and get a free ticket. Give this free ticket to your maid, househelp or a woman/girl. Please enjoy (sic).”

Vivek is not the first person to do this for his film. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan also announced the same offer for Atlee-directed ‘Jawan’ after the film crossed Rs 1,000 crores at the global box-office.

According to reports, Anushka has been keeping a low profile and the pregnancy could be a reason why the star is not travelling with her husband on his cricket tours. “Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage. She is staying away from the public eye to avoid speculation,” a source told Hindustan Times.

Tiger 3 marks the third film in Yash Raj Films’ OG spy franchise. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Apart from seeing Tiger and Zoya reunite on the big screen, fans are also looking forward to seeing Pathaan’s cameo in the film. It has been widely reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be appearing in Tiger 3 in the same way that Salman’s Tiger appeared in Pathaan.  It is also widely reported that Emraan Hashmi has been roped in to play the villain in the film, News18 reported.
