These projects will provide water supply to the households in in Bari, Korei, Sukinda and Danagadi blocks. The projects will be operationalized in phases from February 2024 onwards. He directed the officials concerned to ensure timely completion and quality of services.

He also reviewed the progress of mega lift irrigation projects built at a cost of Rs.287 crore. These projects will be completed by December 2023.

Pandian reviewed the progress of other major ongoing projects in the district such as the Trauma Care Centre at a cost of Rs. 101 crores at Panikoili, High-Level bridge over Tantighai river on Chhatumari Bandhamunda Road at a cost of Rs.53 crore and Development of Green Belt in Sukinda & Danagadi Mining area at a cost of Rs.54 crore.

Later, he visited Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur where he interacted with Sebayats, Trustee Members and general public for development of Temple. He reviewed the progress of the ongoing project to develop the temple and provide better facilities for the devotees.

He also reviewed the progress of major Roads in the district: Construction of Flood Resilience Road of Baruan-Bari-Kalamatia Road under SDMF at a cost of Rs. 124 Cr, From 3A Embankment Sarasada, Salaba via Bandolo to Barundei Makundapur Road and PK Mahavidyalaya Barundei to Tarakote Purbakote RD Road (Mining Road) at a cost of Rs. 56 Cr, Improvement of Road from Prathamakhandi Sadamba to Aruala at a cost of Rs. 51 Cr, Improvement of Road from 19 ABC Bari Mount to Bidrupa under Bari Block at a cost of Rs. 30 Cr, Improvement of all Earthen roads to Paver Roads in Vyasanagar Municipality at a cost of Rs. 27 Cr, Improvement of Road from NH-16 to Ataalpur at a cost of Rs. 15 Cr, Improvement to Korei Barundei Road at a cost of Rs.  13 Cr, Improvement of Expressway to Uchhabali Road via Bangarkota at a cost of Rs. 15 Cr, Improvement of TTS Mulasar Road at a cost of Rs. 10 Cr. He instructed concerned officials to ensure timely completion of these projects.

He also visited Mission Shakti café & Mission Shakti District federation office nearby. He appreciated their initiative and interacted with the members and emphasized that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has high priority for women empowerment and assured all support from the government.

Pandian visited the ongoing medical college project site at Jajpur. The project is progressing as per schedule and will be operationalised in next academic year. The academic block will be ready shortly for the inspection of the National Medical Commission (NMC).

During the day, he participated in the Public Grievance Meetings in Korei, Bari and Sukinda. He interacted with the public regarding their grievances.  He said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gives top priority towards citizen grievances and assured early resolution of the petitions submitted.

Special Secretary to CM R. Vineel Krishna, IG Ashish Singh, Collector & DM Chakravarti Singh Rathore, SP Vinit Agrawal and other district level officials accompanied him during the visit.

This was decided during the ongoing visit of Secretary to CM (5T) V K Pandian to Jajpur district. As per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian visited Jajpur to review the progress of various developmental works and redressal of public grievances.

The 5T Secretary discussed development of Mahabinayak temple in Badachana and Baruneswar temple in Binjharpur, where he interacted with Sebayats, Trustee Members and general public for development of shrines along with better facilities for the devotees.

He took suggestions on various aspects of transformation of the temple and related pilgrim/ tourist amenities. He directed the district administration to prepare a master plan for development, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Thursday.

Pandian reviewed the progress of ongoing Mega Piped Water Supply Projects at a cost of Rs. 956 crore in Badachana, Binjharpur, Dasarathpur, Dharmasala , Rasulpur and Jajpur Block. These projects will provide water supply to the households across all the blocks. The projects will be operationalized in phases from December 2023 onwards. He directed the officials concerned to ensure timely completion and quality of services.

He also reviewed the progress of Mega Lift Irrigation projects at a cost of Rs. 223 Crores and In-stream Storage Structures across Kochila and Baitarani River at a cost of Rs. 373 Crores. These projects will be completed by September 2025. He asked the officials concerned to ensure adherence to project timelines.

He instructed for early completion of these projects adhering to the principles of 5T.

He also reviewed the progress of major Roads in the district and instructed the officials to ensure timely completion of these projects.

All unused government buildings will also be handed over to Mission Shakti groups for their activities.

This was stated by Secretary to CM (5T) V K Pandian, who visited Jajpur district on Tuesday as per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. He interacted with the Mission Shakti Groups and colleges students.

Pandian discussed with the Mission Shakti groups their activities and support required for transforming the SHGs into SMEs. He assured all government support to the Mission Shakti movement.

Stating that Mission Shakti is very close to the heart of Chief Minister due to its impact on the socio-economic empowerment of women, he said Mission Shakti will be further strengthened by providing permanent buildings at the GP, block and district level and mobility support to the district level staff for better reach to all areas.

He also informed that the government has decided to hand over all unused government buildings to the Mission Shakti groups for their activities. He directed the Collector to facilitate awareness about interest-free loans and also to organise loan melas at Panchayat level.

Later, Pandian interacted with the college students of Jajpur district. He informed them regarding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s approval for the inclusion of 76 higher secondary schools and 50 Degree colleges of the district under the 5T transformation programme at a cost of Rs 61.5 Crore. He conveyed the vision of the Chief Minister for creating a “Nua Odisha” and efforts towards transformation of the state. He emphasised that the students will be the main force towards making a “Nua Odisha”. He motivated them to aim high and work hard to achieve their goals.

He assured support of the government towards providing them with all the facilities for their studies. Pandian discussed with the students regarding the college development.

Earlier, women Congress workers staged a protest against 5T Secretary’s visit to the district leading to a tussle with the police, reports from Jajpur said.

As Congress protested Pandian’s visit to Vyasanagar in Jajpur, the party’s women workers wearing black badges took out a rally from Gopabandhu Square. As they reached Chorda Square while raising slogans against the 5T Secretary, the police tried to stop them. As a result, a scuffle between the women workers and the police ensued.

Similarly, the members of the district Congress protested the 5T secretary’s visit to Jajpur town. While chanting slogan ‘Pandian Go Back’, the party workers took out a rally from the Red Cross Square and staged a demonstration. At Medical Square, they confronted with the police.
