However, there was no official confirmation. On Tuesday, production banner T-Series officially announced the sequel of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial.

‘Animal’ is one of the most successful films of 2023. Released on December 1, the film raked in over Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office. The film left many fans excited as it had a post-credits scene, teasing a sequel titled ‘Animal Park’, in which Ranbir would potentially have a double role.

And now makers have officially confirmed the film’s sequel with an Instagram post on T-Series’ handle, news agency ANI reported.

T-Series announced that they are collaborating with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for three films — ‘Animal Park’, Prabhas’ starrer ‘Spirit’ and one film with Allu Arjun.

“It’s a partnership built on trust, fueled by creative freedom, and fortified by an unbreakable bond. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director #SandeepReddyVanga unveil the next cinematic wonders–Prabhas’ Spirit, Animal Park, and an Allu Arjun saga–the chapters that follow the monumental success of Kabir Singh and #Animal,” the post read.

On his partnership with Bhushan Kumar, Vanga said, “The kind of freedom he (Bhushan Kumar) gives in terms of my creativity and the liberty to choose any song makes me feel at home at T-Series, and there is nothing more than that a director needs.”

‘Animal’ also starred Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The film received polarising reactions from the critics and audiences but it managed to create wonders at box office.

His upcoming release Animal with Rashmika Mandanna helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy has already created the much-required buzz after its trailer hit the web. Speaking on his character and the experience of working with the Arjun Reddy director, Ranbir Kapoor said that his role in the movie is dark and he had to undergo a physical transformation to look the part. Elaborating on the same the Bollywood actor stated that he even shaved his hair for the last scene and now he is growing it as he is not currently working on any movie.

Regarding Animal, Ranbir Kapoor clarified that his character in Animal is the darkest he has played to date but he is not a psycho but rather operates in his individual way. He further added that the character is darkest but is not somebody with whom he can relate however he enjoyed playing such an original and different character.

Ranbir said, “I am glad I collaborated with Sandeep on this because I got a lot from him, about heroism, about characters, and about characters, and about a grey part like this.”
Talking about Ramayana the Barfi actor said that since it is a big project a lot of work needs to be done beforehand. Ranbir said that as of now nothing has been finalised and he hopes that it will be done very soon. The actor said that although he is hearing a lot of subjects nothing has been locked yet.

He did confirm that apart from Ramayana he is considering working on Anurag Basu’s biopic on Kishore Kumar. He will be reading the script by the end of this month but also confirmed that he has not got a script that resonates with him.

Ranbir Kapoor also said that he has stopped smoking, and has started eating chocolates and is eating a lot and not following any diet
