A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between Odisha and Tata Steel in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday to establish HPCs in two Olympic sports — Archery and Sport Climbing.

The Odisha Tata Archery Academy and Odisha Tata Steel Adventure Foundation Sport Climbing Academy will be set up in Bhubaneswar for development of sportspersons in the respective disciplines. Regional Development Centres will also be set up for archery, and both academies will also run grassroots programmes.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Tata Steel in this endeavour. Our partnership with Tata Steel for Hockey High Performance Centre has been exemplary and producing encouraging results. We have a huge potential for Archery and Sports Climbing in Odisha and in the country, and with this new association we’ll be able to collectively contribute towards creating a conducive environment for athletes in these disciplines,” the Odisha CM said.

Secretary Vineel Krishna represented Odisha’s Sports & Youth Services Department, while Tata Steel was represented by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice-President, Corporate Services Tata Steel Ltd and Chairman Tata Steel Adventure Foundation.

There are already Hockey, Football, Swimming, Athletics, Gymnastics, Sports Science, Shooting and Weightlifting HPCs at the Kalinga Stadium here. It’s a unique partnership model between a state and a corporate that has produced elite athletes in various disciplines.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Sanjay and Arshad shot an ad for a hospital. “There is no film in the making. They shot for a commercial for a hospital, and the BTS video was released online, which started the rumours,” a source told HT.

The report further states that Munna Bhai 3 may “never” happen. Elaborating on the reason, another source told the publication, “There are very less chances of the third film happening now because of the fallout between Rajkummar Hirani and (producer) Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It has been several years since they parted ways following the #MeToo allegations against Hirani. In fact, there was a film with a working title Munna Bhai Chale America, but that was soon shelved without any reason. The script was finalised and the pre-production had also started, but it could not happen.”

Last week, a video featuring Sanjay Dutt in his Munna Bhai avatar, sporting a bright orange shirt, went viral. The video showed the actor walking with Rajkumar Hirani on a set, with ‘Munna Bhai’ title track playing in the background. Just moments after Sanjay Dutt’s entry, Arshad Warsi in his ‘Circuit’ attire entered and greeted Sanjay Dutt with a hug. And we could hear Rajkumar Hirani say ‘And we are back’.

After two hit films, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, there were several speculations that a third film was in the making. However, in an interview earlier this year, Arshad shared that, ‘Munna Bhai 3 may not happen.’
