Air India’s ‘No Cost’ offer to Delhi passengers amid fog in Winter https://publictrustofindia.com/2023/12/27/air-indias-no-cost-offer-to-delhi-passengers-amid-fog-in-winter/ Wed, 27 Dec 2023 15:33:37 +0000 https://publictrustofindia.com/?p=7787 New Delhi: Winter is most people’s favourite season in India. But winter also bring with it certain woes.

Air travellers who have to take morning flights from north Indian cities like Delhi have to often endure extreme frustration as flights get cancelled due to fog and poor visibility.

Air India has good news for such travellers.

The Tata-owned airline said in a statement on Wednesday that passengers travelling from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport during the winter season can cancel or reschedule their bookings if major flight delays are expected because of fog, at no extra charges or any additional cost.

It is part of a scheme called the Air India FogCare programme, which was initiated last year and underscores the airline’s commitment to passenger convenience during adverse weather conditions.

Over 100 flights to and from Delhi were delayed due to dense fog on Wednesday.

According to Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer, Air India, “sincere effort” will be made to minimise “inconvenience” to customers whose flights get affected by foggy conditions.

Passengers with reservations will receive regular updates on fog, and can take a decision based on flight-specific advisories.
