Bhubaneswar<\/strong>: The Centre on Wednesday released a \u2018tentative list\u2019 of the agenda for Parliament\u2019s special session from September 18 to 22. The tentative agenda included two bills -The Advocates (Amendment) Bill, 2023, The Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, 2023 \u2013 to be taken up in the Lok Sabha, both passed in the Rajya Sabha on August 3.<\/p>

Rajya Sabha MPs will discuss The Post Office Bill, 2023, and The Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service, and Term of Office) Bill, 2023, both introduced in the Rajya Sabha on August 10.<\/p>

There is no mention of the \u2018One Nation, One Election\u2019 bill, in the tentative list shared by the Centre today.<\/p>

There is also no mention of a resolution to rename India as Bharat.<\/p>

A discussion will be held on the subject \u2018Parliamentary Journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha \u2013 Achievements, Experiences, Memories and Learnings\u201d, as per the government\u2019s notice.<\/p>

Notably, the government has called an all-party meeting on September 17, a day before the special session of Parliament begins. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that invitations had been sent through e-mail to all leaders of opposition parties to attend the meeting.<\/p>

The special session of Parliament, from September 18 to 22, was announced by the Pralhad Joshi on August 31.<\/p>

The session will begin in the old Parliament building and shift to the new structure the next day. The shift to the new Parliament building will coincide with Ganesh Chaturthi on September 19, considered auspicious to make new beginnings.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
