Bhubaneswar: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the coldwave conditions in Odisha will last for another two days before nighttime temperatures begin to gradually increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius.
While the majority of the state would see dry weather, the Met Office has predicted that shallow to moderate fog may sometimes occur at one or more locations in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Bhadrak till 8.30 am on Wednesday.
Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur and Bhadrak will experience fog in the subsequent 24 hours. The lowest temperature of 10 degrees Celsius or below was reported in 11 locations around the state over the past 24 hours. At G Udayagiri, the temperature dropped to 5.4 degrees Celsius, while Phulbani and Similiguda in Koraput both reached 7.5 degrees Celsius. It was 13.6 degrees Celsius in Bhubaneswar and 13.4 degrees Celsius in Cuttack, the twin cities.
